elf hd powder, it's supposed to be a dupe for Makeup Forever's hd powder. Has anyone tried this?  What do you use a setting powder?Pinned Image

It really isn't a dupe. ELF contains silicone while MUFE is pure silica. Because labels are ordered by what the most product is you don't know how much silica you're actually getting. It's is 50-50, 60-40, 70-30, 80-20, 90-10, 95-5, or some other ratio? Regardless you're getting more silicone and less silica.

ELF ingredients: Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Silica.

MUFE ingredients: Silica powder

If you want a 100% dupe just go to TKB Trading or Coastal Scents and buy pure silica powder. TKB: 1 oz, $4.95; Coastal Scents: 1 oz, $4.95. Plus shipping on both.

Good info here, I don't really like powder but I do love nars newest setting powder BC it leaves a very pretty finish not just dry and matte that mufe hd powder does.

I am not a big powder person, but sometimes I'm in the mood, especially if I have a special occassion. I'll check out that Nars powder.

I wear the mufe hd powder and I LOVE it! I love the way it blurs fine lines and pores. And The texture is amazing. Haven't tried the elf one.
