Contacts vs. Glasses

 Hello Everyone!

I am 55 years old and need glasses and/or contacts to see.  I recently went to my eye dr. and decided to try bifocal contacts. I can see pretty good out of them. My problem is my eyes seem to get dry and itchy. I was wondering if it had something to do with having gone through menopause?  I used to wear contacts all the time, so it's not like I have never worn them before. I have to decided if I want to order them by Friday when I go back to the eye doctor. I just tried the new contact lens solution and they are the newest contacts.  Anyone else have any kind of problem like this?

When I was in school I looked like I was on drugs because my eyes were always red and itchy. Come to find out I was allergic to the contact solution. I would maybe try a different solution.

I can't wear contacts either due to eye allergies. Wish I could help.

I wear glasses, but my dd wear contacts, her eyes get irritated at times. She says it come from prolong wear of contacts. You do bring up an important point, you may be approaching memospause. Only your eye doctor can say for sure.
