have you tried black soap? it's really good for even skintone esp if you follow up with 100% shea butter. they're both natural and you can find them on Amazon for a good price.

Hello, I am all natural as well. Oil of Olay is NOT natural and is filled with a lot of chemicals. I second the black soap idea. Also, I use Lush products and they are all natural and work wonderfully. As far as softening the skin, I use coconut and almond oils.

I am going to try the raw african black soap:

African Black Soap

Black Soap

African natural black soap is one of the most healthful yet unheard of soaps you will find.  This black soap contains more benefits for healthy skin than you can imagine. Read some of the information below and you will know why.

All natural African black soap is made from dried plantain skins, palm leaves, cocoa pod powder, and kernel oil for an all-natural cleansing process. Plantains skins are largely what make this black soap so effective. It is a natural source of vitamins A & E and iron. When black soap is made, the skin of the plantain is dried under the sun and then roasted in a clay oven. The heat must be constant in order to achieve the perfect brownish black color, texture & smell. Afterwards, cocoa pod powder is added. Cocoa pod is the shell of the cocoa fruit and also has natural healing properties.

The next part of the black soap making process is very precise. The roasted plantain skin is mixed with palm and palm kernel oil to form the soap. The roasted plantains determine the color of the soap. The longer the plantains are roasted, the darker the black soap will become.

Find details on Dudu-Osun black soap here!

More information:

African black soap is soft with an organic shape. It has a delicate texture and a natural, earthy smell. It is not oily, and can be used for hands, face, body and hair. It is most commonly found in Ghana, however other countries have their versions of black soap as well. Other words for black soap are Alata Samina, Anago Samina which comes from the Twi language in northern Ghana.

Benefits of black soap:

  • Natural black soaps help deep clean skin.
  • Black soap works on most skin types including rough and dry or sensitive skin.
  • Help clear skin bumps and spots by using black soap daily.
  • Helps relieve acne, oily skin & other skin problems.
  • Black soap is also great for removing makeup.
  • Black soap benefits against premature facial lines and wrinkles.
  • Black soap can also be lathered and used as an effective shampoo.

I wouldn't consider Oil of Olay a natural product.  I have been using oil to cleanse my face and I have to say it has made a difference.  I am currently using Macadamia Nut oil which is really nice.  So far I have tried Meadowfoam, Argan, Sunflower, & Chardonnay Grapeseed oils.  My next one is Jojoba.  So far the ones I like the best and works for my skin Meadowfoam & Macadamia.

I use Michael Todd true organic skincare as part of my skincare routine. It's nice being able to read all the natural ingredients you are putting on your skin/ face. You can Google the name if interested in learning more from their website.
