Are they wearing bigger or smaller or the same for their age? Okay, I know the following are not all the options for every family, especially if you have more than one child, so please feel free to reply. Thanks!

my 5 yr old has been in size 6 for about 6 months now and he will be 6 in aug....
my 4yr old had been in size 5 some 6 for about 4-5 months now and he will be 5yrs old in dec.....

Sydney, turned 2 at the end of May, sometimes wears 3T and even 2T but clothes fit her much better in 4T. We just got her new shoes and they are a size 10 so hopefully they'll last her at least through the fall. At her 2 yr appt she was 35 in and 31 lbs.
Brooke will be 11 months on the 12th and she wears 12 months and her shoes size is 2.and I hope she gets into a 3 soon so that she can wear the sandals I bought for her for the summer. At her 9 month appt she was 28.5 in and 18 or 19 lbs.
I guess it all depends on the brand and the style. My daughter turned 8 back in February and about a month ago just started getting into 7/8 shirts and 7 or 8 pants/shorts. But there are some pants/shorts that she can still wear a 6X -- especially for the length --- as she's a little on the "short/petite" side, like me.

My 4 yo can still wear his 12 month shorts (the longer ones anyway)! He's so skinny, any bigger and I have to put darts in the waist (if they aren't adjustable) or they fall down. Long pants are a pain because he needs a 3T in length. Depending on the shirt, either a 2T or 3T.
My son Nico, who is 5, is wearing size 3T for pants and size 5T for his shirts. He is very short and skinny, so anything above a 3T falls right off him. My son Lucas, who is 3, is wearing size 2T for pants and size 4T for his shirts. There is only about 2 inches in height that separates the two of them, and I am fairly confident that within the next two years they will both be in the same size clothes.
