This is something I've tweaked to sneak veggies in. And I love the ease of tossing this in at night and waking up to a warm breakfast :)

CROCK POT HOT CEREAL

2 cups water
2 cups vanilla soy milk (or milk, but add a little vanilla and brown sugar to taste)
1/2 cup brown rice
1/2 cup barley
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp allspice
1/4 cup orange puree (I've used sweet potato)

combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low overnight.

I added some cauliflower puree to the white sauce in a rice/chicken/peas casserole last night. yum! never would have guessed it was in there!
