Teeth Chattering

What can I do for my son who chatters his teeth constantly!!!??? It is so annoying and I am also concerned as to how it will affect his teeth. Breckin is 4 yrs old and recently stopped eating any foods that require chewing, then shortly after the chattering began. I am assuming that the lack of chewing food has left him with a need to chatter.....IDK. I am going to get another mouth vibrator today, since I lost the last one......is there anything else you ladies can recommend? He loves to have his teeth brushed, so I really think that he just needs extra stim in his mouth. What do you think??

I Think your probably right.  Sounds like a sensory thing.  Julia grinds her teeth alot looking for the oral input due to her low tone.  But the dentist assures me that it is fine and won't hurt her teeth.  Have you tried chewy tubes?  Or the vibrating tooth brushes?  Good luck!

Have you tried the chewy tubes from Talk Tools?  I will admit I was never consistent with these, but Nathan inconsistently grinds his teeth, mostly when he's upset/ in pain.  I can't stand it!  I give him chewy tubes when he does it.

We haven't had this problem.  At least not yet!  It sounds like your answer makes sense and its worth a try.  Let us know how it goes!

My daughter is a teeth grinder along with a multitude of other sensory stuff and she doesn't eat by mouth. She has Jigglers purchased from http://www.abilitations.com/ . Their web site isn't the easiest, you can look them up by page, 216 or by item number 9-1295855-014. They aren't terribly expensive and they come in a set of 2 which is nice if Brekin is anything like Missy, she is forever hiding her toys! I think these would be perfect for him.
