I've had cats before. but this one seems to be different. i honestly don't think she is happy here. We have had her for about a month now and she still will not come out from under the bed. the only way she comes out from under the bed is to eat, drink or use the litter box.
I have seemingly developed a allergy to cats. i have been taking evening primrose oil and that does help and i'm going to see if i can find a better quality food that is in our price range and see if that helps. but at the moment i can not have her in my bedroom under my bed, I have lately started sleeping on the couch.
In the mean time i'm trying to get her use to my other animals and not scare her in the process. The only thing i could think of would be have her in the living room with the other animals. So I have placed her in a crate for the time being to see if she will get use to us. If not i may have to put her back on craigslist. i had her on there once but no one was interested in her.
Any one have any other suggestions then this? it seems kind of mean to me but she is not fixed and has never been outside unless it was going from point A to point B.
We have seven or eight cats ( a female cat came up and the kids thought it was a male---well we ended up with five kitens from that "male", lol). I am not a cat person but DH had three in the house when we got together. I slowly over 7 years got them use to going outside and finally have all three of them living outside full time (WooHOO). Mine was not due to allergies just hating cat hair everywhere & vacuuming several times a day, so it wasn't a problem for me to slowly do it. However, how old is the cat? My mom found a kitten recently she took home and put in the house, no clue why sense she is allergic but after a few days she realized it wasn't going to work and started setting the kittens crate outside for awhile. Then after about a week the kitten is now living happily outside. Hope you find a solution soon, allergies are horrible to deal with.
