Favorite childhood memories...

even with a dysfunctional life, I can pull a few good memories out of my hat.

One of my favorites was one christmas we couldnt afford a christmas, my dad had fell through the roof while working on an addition to our house a few months before and could not work. a friend of my parents showed up on christmas eve with a tree and we did not have any decorations so we strung beer cans and palstic forks with fishing line and decorated the whole tree with them..it was so funny looking but we all worked on it as a family and had a great time doing it. My husband and I had just started dating and he was there so it was our first official christmas together. I had saved for a few weeks and bought him a new hat and a shirt and i have a great picture of him sitting in front of the "beer can tree". That was back when we were in love and actually liked each other as well=) and then christmas morning my mom surprised us all with gifts that she has ordered out of fingerhut (where you can order and make payments on forever..she may still be paying on that stuff..lol) ..a silly little story but like I said we all worked together, everyone was getting along and we made the best out of what we had...even if it was beer cans and plastic forks=)
