How come the new mom never showed up?

I read the customers page, and it says common under new mom, but she never showed up. The old mom is kind of freguent though.

The new mom never showed up for me until I got rid of the PP gossip.  The gossip doesn't like children, so I put in the slide (kid's area) and she stopped coming and the new mom showed up. 

Honestly, though, I wish I'd waited longer to get rid of the gossip b/c the new mom's fave drink is one of the harder ones to make, so it took me a while to even be able to make it and I still fail OFTEN, but she shows up all. the. time.  Because of her my average points have gone down. 

The reason you do want the mom, though, is that if you give her a great drink she'll recommend that her best friend, the superhero, come by the shop more often, which gives you more chances to win super power sugar and thereby make the drink for the bully, who gives you a special ingredient for the nanny.
