I know that you have to give the character their favorite drink, the new one that another customer drops, but how do I get the 1st recipe to drop, if I don't have any yet? Does this make sense? lol

You already own quite a few recipes. The customers who appear in the MHTW will enjoy a drink that is very different from what you are used to serving them. You can either look through the walkthrough for a list of favorites, or experiment with any recipes that you already own.
