**** PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS WALKTHROUGH HAS MY HARD WORK AND TIME PUT INTO IT. DO NOT USE TAKE THIS INFORMATION OUTSIDE OF CAFEMOM (IE FACEBOOK) WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF MYSELF (TANGLEBALLLOVER) OR THE CAFEMOM TEAM. THANKS ****

Hey there, Java Valley girls :)  Welcome to the official walkthrough!  Here you will find all of the spoilers for this area in a fairly well-organized fashion so you aren't spending a lot of time sorting through information.  Nothing in this post will be whited out. This is a walk-through, so it will be to the point. :D

Keep in mind that the recommended brewing and marketing skills set in place by CM for any area are recommended for a reason, even if your Marketing is at the recommended level and you have all the equipment, you should expect some no-shows.

This is still a work in progress and there are a few things I'll tweak as I refresh my JV memory! Please feel free to PM me if you want to add to the information or see a mistake!

Now let's get started!

    • Additional Tips

      • It costs 1,000JB to travel to Java Valley and 2,500JB to set up shop. It costs 50JB to travel back to Percolate Park, so make sure you set aside that much in case you need to go back before you start serving customers.
      • The Recommended Brewing Skill Level is 25 (Make sure this is WITHOUT +__ that your equipment gives you)
      • The Recommended Marketing Skill Level is 5 (Again WITHOUT +__ that your equipment gives you)
      • The total cost of store equipment is 63,450 JB
      • The total cost of recipes (if you bought 4 of them in Percolate Park) is 8,500
      • The Computer Programmer is kind of hard to get going and hack the system to get the Espresso Triple Frappe recipe. It can take days. Make sure you have the basket, use Butterfinger beans and switch b/t her three favorite recipes. This will take a lot of patience, but keep at it! A couple of players have had luck by serving her the wrong drink and going back to serving her the right ones.
      • If you give the HP Business Executive anything but the Espresso Triple Frappe, she will turn into the Competitive Store Owner. To get her back to the HP Business Executive aka close her shop (it's an award!), give her the Espresso Triple Frappe.
      • You will want to get the Warhol recipe from the Doctor before you move on to Brewer's Square, it is a green entry for at least 2 customers there. This also takes a lot of patience.
      • The 911 Latte given by the J.V. Police Officer is a "signal brew" and is one of your awards as well.
      • The Mob Boss will steal from you until you serve the 911 Latte, so feel free to abandon him. And when you do serve him the 911 Latte, you get no JB and XP from him, but 100 JB from the J.V. Police Officer.
      • You will need to see the Mayor in order to go to Brewer's Square, if you haven't already!! He has the key to the city!
      • The J.V. Neighborhood gossip likes to steal 6 energy no matter what you serve her, so make sure you buy your No Gossips Allowed sign right off the bat! There is no benefit to having her show up your store - no worries!
      • You can get the Amythest Ring by serving the wrong drink to the Millionaire. The Trophy Wife is ALSO a thief! You can get it back easily, and abandon the Trophy Wife if you want to keep it. But it is believed that getting the Ring brings the Trophy Wife around. I think you only have to do it that first time and then she's more common. So the purpose of the ring IS to be stolen at least that one time. :)
      • I traded out between the Hazelwood Blend and the Quality Blend because not all the drinks are higher in JB or XP with the Quality Blend, and extra energy is always a plus! I used the Butterfingers Blend when I wanted an item because they increase your chance of item drops.
      • The recipes without HQ mean that making it High Quality made no difference in the amount of money or experience you will earn.
      • Just because you use the blends/beans that make High Quality drinks, does not mean that EVERY time you will make a High Quality drink. The higher your brewing skill the more of a chance you'll have to make one, but not all drinks will make a difference high quality. The Butterfingers Blend will not get you an item every time you use them, but it will increase your chances.

    • Each zone has three numbers that control your marketing in that area:

MInimum Marketing: This is what is listed as "Recommended" on the map.

Maximum Marketing: When your marketing is this skill, you will no longer miss any customers in that area

Customer Chance: If your marketing level is at the minimum, this is the % chance that you will get a customer.

As your Marketing scales from minimum -> maximum, your "hit rate" will scale from the customer chance -> 100%.  It works like a ratio, going back to good ol' high school math:)

As with everything, the game is very random, so just like you can flip a coin 10 times and get 8 heads, you can also have an 87.5% hit rate and get 5 misses out of 7 - it stinks, but it's just randomness:)

      JV: 5/15/80

This means with 5 marketing you have a 80% chance of no no-shows.

      6 is 82,

      7 is 84,

      8 is 86,

      9 is 88,

      10 is 90,

      11 is 92,

      12 is 94,

      13 is 96,

      14 is 98,

and 15 is the point where you will have NO no-shows.
