***Before we begin:  I'd like to remind everyone that this walkthrough is MY OWN WORK and that I spent hours upon hours compiling all of this information in an organized fashion for all of you.  That being said, I would GREATLY appreciate it if pieces of this walkthrough are not copied and pasted to other forums without my or CM's permission.  Thank You!***

So you've fallen down the Rabbit Hole and ended up in Java Wonderland?  Welcome to the area with the most twists, turns, and sometimes confusion than every other area combined!  We are happy you've joined us and hope that you find the answers you seek within this walkthrough.  Seeing as it is still a work in progress, I will be continually playing the board as well as scouring the forum for more and more answers as we all progress. 

Keep in mind that the recommended brewing and marketing skills set in place by CM for this area are recommended for a reason.  You will continue to see periodic no-shows until you have a marketing skill of 25 (including points attained by purchasing equipment).  At the minimum recommended marketing skill of a 10, you will get 25% no-shows.  

You will probably notice that there is quite a bit in this walkthrough still left blank.  I hope this is understandable as I (nor anyone else to my knowledge) have yet to complete this area.  These blanks will be filled in as soon as the answer becomes apparent.

Secrets of UnTown:

This "first" area of JW is a little tricky until you get into the rhythm of the area.  First, buy all of the equipment besides the Slide, Radio, Chess Board, and Hermit Crab.  The rest of the equipment is "neutral" and has a general positive effect on your skills.  The equipment listed above controls the cast of customers that show up to your store which is detrimental to your progress through UnTown.

The Slide, Radio, Chess Board, and Hermit Crab I will refer to as "pivot" equipment because the purchase or sale of these items will pivot the customers who show up in UnTown.  Here is the chart:

At first, you will only be able to serve the Wonderbrew Black Coffee and without the pivot items, your customers will include the UnTown Queen of Gossip, UnDoctor, UnJudge, UnFireman, and UnMillionaire.  After several serves, one of the customers will drop an ingredient.  This ingredient is to make the favorite drink of the pivot customer.  For example, if the UnFireman drops the Wondercorp Red Tea Leaves, this is the missing ingredient to the UnGreen Tea - the UnNew Mom's favorite drink and the pivot customer of the Slide equipment.

At this point, you can either keep serving the Wonderbrew Black Coffee and hope the UnFireman is generous, or you can buy the Slide and serve the UnNew Mom her favorite drink.  When a customer in UnTown is given their favorite drink, they leave 2-3 ingredients for their customer "opposite."  So as you can see, the drops will quickly snowball and you won't be buying and selling the pivot equipment nearly as often very soon so don't get discouraged.

One more trick of the trade: You only need to have either the Radio or the Chess Board in your inventory at any one time, not both.  The customers gained/lost by having only one will be fine as they give out the same ingredients.  For example, the UnNanny and the UnPolice Officer both give out the Wondercorp Dry Ice which is used for the favorite drink of both the UnDoctor and the UnJudge.  So if you own the Radio but not the Chess Board, you will have the UnNanny and UnJudge as customers and they are opposites as well.  The only reason to swap the Radio and the Chess Board is to serve every customer.  Here's another chart illustrating the opposing customers:

So as you can see, UnTown is just an equipment dance, so to speak.  Once you run out of an ingredient, you either buy or sell the piece of pivot equipment to get the opposite customer.  Like I mentioned previously, you will not NEED to do this with the radio and the chess board unless you so choose.  Just make sure you own only one or the other.  You will be swapping out the Slide and the Hermit Crab on a fairly regular basis, at least at first.  The longer you play UnTown, the less frequently you will need to swap equipment.

General Tips:

• Make sure you understand how to work the equipment in UnTown to maximize your drops and get the specific items you need (See Reply #1)
  
• You can make out very well in Shuffle City with EPs as long as you know how to use the Cafe Joker recipes
• The Queen in her Palace will only like recipes you purchase in her palace.  So when you finish each area, check to see that you have all the items for each recipe that can be purchased before trying to serve her
• I know it seems like there should be "more" to Poetry Point, but the difference in drop rate is pretty minor for each recipe used on each customer.  See Reply #11 for drop rates, but understand that this information is not very accurate due to lack of data. 
  
• Make sure you stock up on Red Tea Leaves as well as Blue, Red, and Green pills before going to the Candy Factory.  ESPECIALLY the Red Tea Leaves and the Blue Pills - I found both these items to be critical in finishing the area!
