To the 1st person that can tell me the correct meaning and origin of my daughter's name.

My dd's name is Maylaya, it is usually spelled "Malaya", but dh isthe one  who named her and I guess he was trying to be different,lol.

Thank you. No, I'm not filipino but my dh is half filipino/half black. My MIL is filipino and I love her cooking

It's a beautiful name!  Are you Filipino?  I spent 4 years in Japan and miss all Asian cooking, but I had a Filipino neighbor who made the best Lumpia...  It was to DIE for...  I miss it.  I miss her...  sigh...

Beautiful!  I wish my friend would have taught me how to cook - everything she made was wonderful...  I can't cook for squat :)
