The group is about "tattooed" mamas, right, so let's here what you have and where and what you want!!!!!!!
I have a fairy on my left shoulder, a mermaid with an ocean scene on my right shoulder, and a big portrait of my dog Petey that passed away in between my shoulder blades. I have a butterfly with tribal on my lower back, another fairy on my right hip, and a pretty flower over my left boob that USED to be my ex-husband's name (really dumb idea). Then I have puzzles pieces on both of my wrists (the autism symbols) and I have a lotus flower with sanskrit writing covering my right foot. My husband is doing a pit bull tattoo on my calf sometime this week. I have a TON of tattoos all planned out, but since I'm not a paying customer I get put at the back of the line. LOL.
I only have one right at this moment.
It is a celtic knot, with my four god childrens zodiac signs around it. Its actually still unfinished, Josh is drawing the rest of it. But it will have a bunch of vines around it, and a lily that will branch out to the top part of my arm,(remembrence of my aunt) and be about a quarter sleeve.
I am getting a Cheshire Cat put on the back of my neck..."we're all mad here" has been a line that has stuck with me from those stories...a reminder that 'normal' is in the eye of the beholder.
I will have Kanji down my spine....starting at the top with the symbol for "ox" the year my daughter was born....followed by the kanji for "black dragon" for a dear friend who has been like a big brother/father figure most of my life. "steel dragon" for a friend who has given me the confidence and strength to be who I am today. and the kanji for "mother". Enough said.
I spent the past five years or so...(wow time flies when you try to do the math) training in ninjutsu...yes I am a ninja (for the reals) and in our style when you reach a certain point in your training, you are awarded a "Bugo" or training name. Mine is Yogarasu, it means Night Raven. When I get out to see Josh's friends in California he is doing a tattoo on my right calf for that.
And that is just getting started....
i have the kanji symbol for warrior on the right side of my neck (my first tat when i was 17,lol) i have since added to it with swirls and such on the side of my neck reaching towards the back. i also have one in my ear on the cartiliage and down inside. i have a portrait of a deceased love on my left rib cage. the ever unfinished linework of a wing down the right side of my back (yes one, a long time ago i heard a phrase i loved, it went 'we are each of us angels with but one wing, so we may only fly by embracing one another'. i loved the sense of humanity and belonging i felt when i heard it, and thus..)
and then i have my left arm which is amost completely sleeved in. i still have my shoulder cap and half my bow to do. and a little bit of extra color here and there.
as i side note, i notice that one of our fellow stepord wives is married to a tattoo artist. i have been a tattoo artist for going on 10 years now. i was curious if that is a running trend in here. how many are married to or are them selves tattoo artists?

Josh is a tattoo artist...
At the moment, I only have two tattoos. There are several that I would like to get done, but I am taking my time so that I am sure I have a lasting reason for each one. The last thing I want is to get a permanent mark on my body on a whim that I will only end up regretting later.
Erick and I do plan to go together soon to have a matching design of our daughter's name done. Her name is Lucy Rose, so we are thinking of having her first name done in cursive, with the end of the "y" connecting to a rose; possibly with the cursive name decorated to look like a vine coming out of the rose. The only reason that we have not gotten the tattoo yet is that we cannot agree on where to place it. He thinks that we should have the tattoo done in the same spot on each of our bodies, but I cannot settle on where I want it.
Current Tattoos: Abstract version of Buddhist Wheel of Dharma at the top middle of my back; Wedjat Eye (eye of Horus) on my left upper arm.
Possible Tattoos: Flower of some sort over scar tissue on the top of my right foot; Dorothy Parker poem on my right upper arm with flower and vine border; Medicine Buddha backpiece; Something to symbolize my mother's Cherokee name, "Dreaming Bear", probably on my calve; An Irish Flag, though I am not sure where to put it.

I <3 you. I thought I was the only person in the world who had to lift up my "weight loss skin" to show off my belly.
Will it ever freakin' go away? I've been working my abs for over a year, they're rock solid under there but you can't tell because of all of the stupid skin. It feels like I got cheated!

I KNOW! see you knew what I was doing LOL. Well you should read the new journal I posted about mini tummy tucks! if yours is like mine its all you need! I called the doc! Do it!!!
I have a celtic cross with a blue candle in the center, moon and swan on one side of the cross and sun and flower and spider on the other side of it on my upper right arm and a broken hand mirror with a rose on the inside of m left leg right above the ankle.
I want to get a dragon and pheonix together forming a heart on my upper left arm to represent myself and DH. I am a Leo and DH is a Taurus, but I wanted different symbols to represent us but still keep to the elemental part of us. So, DH is the dragon (and he LOVES dragons) and I am a fire sign so I am the pheonix.
I am also going to get a dragonfly to represent my son Jake for air and a seahorse for my son Zachary since he is a water sign and he also loves seahorses. He even has a glow musical seahorse to sleep with at night. My son Jake loves dragonflies and I was also thinking of adding Tigger with the dragonfly since he is a huge Tigger fan and since tiggers bounce, that kind of means air and my Jake is an air sign.
Then I also want a pentacle made of brooms and ivy, just don't where to put it yet. And I also want to have ivy trailing along my shoulders and arms and forming bracelets around my wrists, but I am still only thinking about that.
