just got out of L&D for preterm labor

i went in on the 23rd cuz i thought my water broke..well i was having contractions they gave me a shot of terb and my contractions still didnt stop..they were still 2 minutes apart..well they gave me my first shot of steriods..they put me on mag and my contractions didnt stop...well they gave me a sleeping pill and i guess my contractions stopped and then my blood pressure started going up..well my blood pressure is still going out of wack..i got my second dose of steriods..i got sent home wiht a pill that will help with my blood pressure and also my contractions..the docs said for me to try to keep him in till i hit 32 weeks..right now im 29weeks 3days..if he trys to come after 32 weeks they wont stop him from coming and if he tries before 32weeks they will unless my contractions are strong and im dialating..they are worried bout uterion abruption..so this is my update..i just wanted to let u guys know

me too. I bet its scary. They didnt put a cerclage in??? bet that would help keep him in. Good luck and try to take it easy.

they didnt do a cerclage cuz im not dialating.my cerviz is just softening..but im hoping he stays put for awhile longer..so far everything looks ok..i have been contracting though but i take my pill to stop them and they go away for like 30minutes..i have been relaxing..my feet are swelling,,so are my hands and face..idk if its cuz my blood pressure or what

wow take it easy on ur self now,, with my 1 yr old i went in p. labor too,the first shot didnt work on me either, they gave me a second,1 n it stopped it.. but i always have contractions from early on,,, now too, they hurt, surprised they didnt pit a stitch in u.. good luck n take it easy!!!!

well the docs have me on a blood pressure medication to keep my blood pressure down and it helps stop contractions..well now out of now where i have swelling in my face,hands,feet...and im getting really light headed alot..so i have to go in tomorrow to see what going on

good luck! im 29 weeks and 2 days now and went into the L&D at 27.5 weeks cuz of contractions and mucous coming out alot so they gave me a shot of terb and it stopped and also my blood pressure was low..ive had a cerclage b4 but i dont know why they didnt put it in this time..im just hoping i stay put for another 4 weeks at least..im supposed to be on bedrest but i have 3 lil ones running around..its impossible..

OHH I AM HOPING HE STAYS IN ALITTLE LONGER..IM NOT ON FULL COMPLETE BEDREST..IM SUPPOSED TO BE ON LIMITED ACTIVITY..BUT I AGREE ITS HARD..I GOT 3 LIL ONES THAT ARE RUNNING AROUND AND MY HUSBAND IS DEPLOYED SO ITS HARD..AND I HAVE MY MOMS HELP BUT SHE WATCHES MY 21MONTH OLD NEPHEW AND MY MONTH OLD NEICE WHILE MY SISTER AND BROTHER IN LAW ARE AT WORK..so i am hoping he iwll cook alittle longer...but i have so much swelling and dizzyness it aint funny..i was hoping that the meds for the blood pressure would help but it dont look like it is..
