For those of you with a son like mine: the kind that will only eat apples from Subway.
I pureed some apples when I bought the "Deceptively Delicious" book. They have an awesome recipe for oatmeal made with milk and another puree, but I find myself running out of it a lot.
I went ahead and tossed some of the apple puree in there (if you are making enough oatmeal for two, then use half a cup) and I could tell it was there, but it was just a hint. If you don't want to make the puree (I won't be doing it again because of time) just go ahead and buy plain applesauce.
