Hiding Broccoli

Chop it up really fine (including some of the stalk) and toss it into anything.  Again, works with pastas, mac and cheese, hamburger helper... It even works in rices and Asian style meals.  My son will definitely eat this up.  I'm thinking about adding it to Top Ramen (a sudden favorite for some reason).

This last week, we made stew from "Deceptively Delicious" and it was really good.  None of the kids ate it, but I'm not sure how hungry they were to begin with.

You don't have to follow the recipe in the book, but it does hide all of the veggies that go in.  You wash and cut whatever veggies you would normally put into the soup and chop them in the blender really fine.  Then, you cook them in a frying pan to make them really soft and the only thing you'll see in the stew is the meat and potatoes.

You can also just add pureed broccoli to a can of beef stew (or any other strong soup) and it will hide pretty well.  I'd say start with a quarter cup and keep taste testing until you are sure that your family will eat it none the wiser.

I use my puree machine and blender to hide a lot of veggies.  My husband loves veggies, I only like some, and my son only likes them from Subway.  So, when I use the blender, it hides all the veggies (even the ones that I don't like) but it still has the vitamins.
