Question about my u/s pic...

here is a pic of my u/s last week i was 9w3d (baby meas 9w1d).

my question is to those having twins; how does the gest sac compare to yours? the sac looks funny compared to my sons and I swear during the u/s there was a 2nd umbilical cord, and if you look at the pic you can see it going right along the babys head with a little blob attached to it. i did ask the dr but he said there was just one. but he moved fast and didnt take ver long to look, i barely got to see the heart beat!

now twins do not run in my family (i do have a set of fraturnal twin half sisters via a step mom). but identicals are just a fluke, so what do you all think?

now the dr could have seen a twin that wasnt developing and decided not to tell me (as i have a history of miscarrage) to save my feelings. it just looks so funny to me.

im sure its not twins.  they would have clearly seen two babies at 9 weeks.  i had my u/s at ten weeks and it was so clear, the midwife saw them z\as soon as she put thewand thing on my tummy.

With my twins I had one ultrasound at 8 weeks.  And I remember thinking "That looks FUNNY."  It's hard to explain.  There was one sack, but the baby blob looked different than it had it my previous pregnancies.  It looked like a peanut ... difinetly TWO blobs, but still either really close or connected.  My Dr said one blob was the baby's head and the other was the the butt/lower part of the body.  Whatever.

I didn't find out for sure that it was twins until I was almost 7 months, because that was when I had my second ultrasound.

I'm no expert on reading ultrasounds, I would just wait until next month and see if there are any changes.  Tell you dr you concern and talk about it.

Thanks for the responses. I hope there is only one, but I just cannot shake this feeling I have. I see my dr again on nov 5th, and I'll bring it up again.

Thanks again

Tammy
