Hi!  I think that is great that you want to lose weight.  First you want to have a plan.  How much do you want to lose?  Write it down.  How many days can you workout?  Write it down.  Get a small notebook and write down what you eat every day.  This will help you stay focused.  You need to reduce 3,500 calories a week to lose 1 pound.  This might sound like alot, but if you reduce 500 calories a day, you can do it.  Think of how you can be active every day.  Walking, playing with the kids, dancing, cleaning the house, etc.  Go to the library to get free workout videos.  Put on youtube and get workouts for free.  Just do a search on the workout that you want to do.  Find something fun to do so that you don't get bored.  You need to get your breathing up to somewhat hard for you to burn the most calories.  For nutrition, go to mypyramid.gov.  This will tell you exactly what to eat.  Good-luck!  You can do it!

Ohh yay!!!! I'm so happy for you! I made the same decision to drop my excessive weight also. Everyone is different, there metabolism's and how there body's burn fat ECT. I can tell you what I am currently doing that is helping me. First I went to a websight called WWW.freedieting.com and I used there calorie calculator to find out the amount of calories I could have daily to drop weight. Next I was able to use an app on my phone to keep track of everything I ate and calculated my calories for me. If you don't have That option you can get a noatbook dedicated just to this and keep track there. If you have att uverse with a dvr then you get free on demand. If this is the case, go to on demand, arrow over to FREE ON DEMAND, then arrow down to HEALTH & FITNESS, when you select this 3 channels will come up, HEALTHY NATION, EXCERCISE TV, and DISCOVERY HEALTH. between these 3 channels you will be able to find something that will suit you, they have everything from beginner to intermediate. The one I started with is a Jane Fonda walk out, it is the equivalent of walking a mile in 20 min but ur using your entire body. I do that 3 times a day. I also eat a ton of fresh fruits and veggies. Love love love grilled bell peppers with a little Molly McButter! Soo good! I also do slimquick for breakfast and I eat 6 small meals a day. I have a incredible sweet tooth, ALWAYS my down fall! I have fallen IN LOVE with 100 calorie packs, milano cookies, chocolate chip cookies and Oreo cakesters just to name a few. Here is an example of what I eat in a day (this is today's menu)

Breakfast: slimfast and coffee (sweetened with splenda and only 2tbs creamer)

mid morning snack: yoplat light yogert (black forest cake)

Lunch: salad ( romain lettuce, bell pepper, 1/2 cup cut up chicken, 1 tbs Bacon bits and 1 tbs salad toppings both by Mckormic) 2 tbs blue cheese dressing and 4 tbs croutons

Afternoon snack: 1/2 grapefruit and 1/2 cup cottage cheese

Dinner: grilled chicken, green beans, rice a ronie 100 calorie pack for desert

IF I'm hungry I will have a 90 calorie fiber one bar.

I also drink a ton of water during the day and green tea is my new best friend!

I have a total of 96 lbs to lose and I have already lost 6 in two weeks. 90 left!

Good luck! And keep us updated on all the progress you will be making!
