how can i Tran her to walk on a leash ?? (my 5 month old boxer /pit mix )..i trained my older dog .but i got her at a year ..and how can i Tran em to walk together ?? wen i walk em now thy wont to play ..it,s a lot for me to handle .
thy love to kiss,play roll around ..but i wont to walk em at the same time ..it,s like trying to take 2 toddlers on a walk ..lol
I would walk them one by one for now until she is trained. I teach follow first with a pup in the house they are trained to follow me, I use treats and recall and once I know I can get their attention we start with leash work.
I just stop and you can do this in the house at first too. Anytime they get ahead and pull I just stop, and when they look at me and sit we move forward. It is interesting but most get this rather quickly that if the leash is slack and they are looking we can move ahead. Once they work on loose lead we work on heeling.
Gradually you will get her trained and can work on walking them together. They will both need to learn that walking is not play time.
