i need to get a crate for my dog. i dont know what size to get i think he needs a 36" crate. tell me what you think. i was thinking of getting a folding wire crate with 1 to 2 doors. also could tell me what breed you think he might be. we think serbian hound/shepard/ rat terrier? thanks

He should only be able to turn around in the crate. Its supposed to mimic a den and if he has too much room in it he will soil in it. I have no idea what he is but he's a cutie.
I started my dog in a crate that was just large enough for him to turn around and stand up. Once reliably house trained and crate trained I got him an ex-large wire crate. I think it's 48" but I'm not sure. I really liked the 2 doors, but after we got it home I liked the 2 doors even more, it gives you a lot more options when your placing the crate in your home, or if you decide to rearrange your furniture. We take our dog when we travel so the double doors was handy there as well. I like the wire crate because it's more open, when I move the crate into the den to crate him when I'm doing something (like I recently painted my den and kitchen). My dog was right there with me and it just felt a lot better then the closed in airline crates.
