My vet saysto keep it clean and pour peroide on it. Is there anything else I can do?????

I have put a sock over his paw (where he got bit) and He realy doesn't seem to mind the sock..

But I can tell the the bite is bothering him. Its slightly swollen.. Not too bad. I can see a small reddish area but hes furry (hard to see) He just seems miserable. Or maybe he's just making me mioserable with the licking and (not too) fequently obseive panting.

Any ideas out there.

 I'd give him some benadryl.

Can you shave down the area with clippers?  Any hair close to the wound will most likely fall out later anyway.  It might be easier to monitor the wound if  you don't have to look through all the hair first.  I'd monitor your dog's behavior, breathing, eating/drinking/potty habits just to make sure he is fine. Did you see the snake that bit him?

Thanks all for the replys, Brady is fine now. Peroxide and a sock seemed to do the trick, (for future reference.
