Many of us that have experienced trauma may have become accustomed to the negative thinking that goes along with the fear and anxiety . A great way break out of that rut is to keep a gratitude list and review it daily ... 1st thing in the morning and the last thing before going to bed are a great start . Don't forget to add to it occassionally to keep it fresh and if you are really adventurous ... try to find something to be grateful about in the hard times.
Here is mine :
I am grateful for :
My children:,
I am grateful for the noise , the clutter , and chaos that comes with having 6 happy , healthy , normal children (even when I don't remember it , like when I step on army men at 3 a.m. on my way to the bathroom )
My home:
I am grateful for the walls that need paint , the doors that creak and the leaky roof over our heads
My body :
I am grateful for every middle aged , sagging overweight inch of me that carries me through the day to care and love those around me
My friends :
I am grateful for all those people in my life who stuck it out in the good and bad times, and saw more in me than I could see in myself
My trials :
I am grateful for the hard times for they have taught me to appreciate the good time and have taught me true strength and empathy .
So What Are You Grateful For Today !

I could do a long list of things I am grateful for but for now I will just say I am grateful that I am still alive because it is a unbelievable that after all that I have been through, that I am still here! I must have a destiny and a purpose because it is truly a miracle that I have survived! :)
I know how you feel , we all have a purpose though hon. Each of us our unique and beautiful with our own special gifts... even if sometimes we don't see it as a gift ... I am loud and .. stubborn two fabulous qualities when it comes to advocacy . Sometimes you just have to look at things in a different way ... You'll find your way hon . The right thing for you is out there waiting
