Some have asked if they were good enough and why they didn't get hired to shoot different ...... you get the point....

Lets not worry about the past. Mark that as a motivator.

Here is your chance to improve your skills. If YOU are NOT your hardiest judge of your pictures you will not strive hard enough to learn everything you can and improve all you can. Some may disagree with me but that's my motto. Many say I am to hard on myself but hey if I sit around and listen to only compliments I want grow. I need to hear and look for the bad stuff in my work.

Here is your Challange (take it or leave it, it's for your portfolio)

Subject:  A Person (if a person is not available doll may be used)

Type of shot: Head shot... Be creative!!!!!!!! ( a head shot is a          close up of ones head, about mid bustline and up. but does not have to have shoulders or all of Head in it) .

Lighting: Natural or Flash which every works best for you. just watch for shadows. Use reflectors if need too.

Head shots do not have to be centered or looking straight on.

Post: Post your best shot and ask for HONEST CC. and most important take the advice, it and practice

My latest head shots.  Ok I know they are not all real head shots but Yes Im proud of them and Yes I see things wrong with it.But hey I will still post it EVERY WHERE.hehe

I will throw in a couple of examples from my most recent shoots as well.  I'm happy to help if anyone has questions!

I feel like this is advice anyone who aspires to be a photographer needs to take to heart.  If you aren't looking at your work and only showing your best, you aren't doing it right.  Harsh, yes.  BUT  I have a hard time posting non-perfect pictures of my kids on FB for the family to see because I am VERY critical of my work.  That criticism has gotten me to this point.  I look at my old "best work"  and make faces because its not up to my standards now.  You will learn from criticism and from being your own worst critic, I promise!!

It has been so long since I have been on cafemom due from running back and forth to Mississippi due to family illness.  I lost my oldest brother ( 84 yrs old )  September 11 and my twin brother is very sick.  In and out of the hospital every other week.  I will try to post more or at least read the posts.

So sorry to hear about your families illnesses.  I have wondered if everything was OK sent you a private message last week.  Don't worry about posting until you feel like it and have the time.  Keep us updated when you have a chance.  Prayers coming to you and your family.  If Kiyia gets any prettier your going to have to lock her up LOL

They are adorable, thanks for sharing your little ones with us. First one just watch out for things behind his head.  I'm bad about that..
