My babies are 20 months apart.  My oldest will be 3 in March and my youngest turned 1 in December.  It is actually not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.

My second baby is much more laid back and just goes with the flow.  She loves her big sister and I know that they will have an amazing lifelong bond.

Just think you are giving your baby their very best friend! :)

My kiddoes are 20 months apart:)  My oldest daughter, Beth, is now 3 years old and my youngest daughter, Jayne, is 16 months old this weekend.  It's tough, but you'll get through it.:)

It's easier now that Jayne is walking and talking and they're playing together more;)  it was rough in the beginning because Beth was a bit jealous (grandma helped out alot with that because she was able to give beth attention while I was breastfeeding the baby) but she also bonded right away with Jayne.  By the time that Jayne was a month old, she was giving Jayne kisses on the head (gentle ones which was really sweet), saying her name with confidence and was trying to breastfeed her dollies:)  that was the sweetest!

It'll take time for you to find a balance, but you'll get there.  Congratulations on the soon to be here baby girl and I hope that you and your son are enjoying as much bonding time while you can befoer the baby gets here--and once the baby's here, I'm sure that your little guy will enjoy being a big brother;)

Take care,

Dawn T

hello! Welcome to the group! My kids are 10 months and 3 days apart. My daughter is 29 months and my son is 19 months. Some days are better than others, they keep me so busy. My daughter is also autistic which adds to the caos in my house. I was married, but recently divorced and things have become alot more interesting. We are making it, but my sanity is another story. lol

Yeah, you may have your handsfull hon, but at the same time, it'll be a good thing--they'll probably be very close since they are so close in age;)  i know my two girls are--they're 20 months apart:)

Good luck and congratulations and welcome to the group:)
