Often one's partner does not understand the adjustments, the sacrfices, feelings of alienation, dependence on him. And often the feeling of loneliness is overwhelming.

There is good news though! There is life after the initial immigration and things do get better! Being in an intercultural relationship in a new country brings with it a new perspective on the world and a cultural and personal enrichment.
