I love your idea for a group where we all communicate and get our posts answered quickly!
when I was in rehab my favorite part was being able to sit around and talk and talk one on one also, and really find out what the real reasons were that I started using. One was my adoption...and then my adopted mom came down with MS (multiple sclerosis) when I was about 6. And she was in a coma for awhile..so we constantly had people in and out of the house...my mom was angry all the time...my dad worked...and growing up I always thought my real mom would come rescue me someday...and then I got to meet her when I was 18 and she was a junkie looser..hadn't told anyone about me.. she had 3 boys after me. They were 4,6,and 8 when I met them, and they were so neglected. (she did get them taken away a couple years later) I think at that point I just kinda went over the deep end so to speak...and I started using. So dealing with all that and getting it out helped alot. Talking helps...I don't care what anybody says. Being educated helps. Knowing other things you can do when you feel like you wanna use. Cause we all have bad days. And sometimes just hearing that someone else has been there and they understand helps more than you could possibly imagine.
