Living rm in progress/ PICS

Got the walls painted and the bamboo floors in!  We were going to go more taupe but after looking at the colors side by side at the furniture store I decided to go more creamy.  Taupe absorbs too much light for my dark living rm.  DH, my dad, & my little brother put in the floors.  No experience.  But my little brother is a brick layer, he also does drywall and other handy man type projects.  He had seen a floor installed before.  Lol, he did the layout and it so looks like a brick layer made that pattern.  Not how I would have wanted it but I didn't know what to ask for.  When we are someday in our forever home I'll know better.  Still I love the floors and they did a really good job.  The new sofa & love seat don't come for 2wks.  Finally making this house mine!

I think that it looks great. To me, it doesn't look too much like a brick pattern. I think once you get everything back in there that you won't notice the pattern as much because it will be broken up.
