Christmas is around the corner, money is itght for a lot of us. Has anyone made a gift for a family member, friend for their home? The only thing I have made is wreaths. I am thinking about printing a card with cookie or brownie recipe and attaching it ot a jar with all the dry ingredients.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I make an ornament every year for my family member- I have been doing this for over 10 years- we have a pretty good collection- however, I have no idea what I am soing this year.

You could make note cards for people- find a nice stamp to print on the front, leave the inside blank, and tie them up with pretty ribbons, and maybe add a nice pen.

Another rather inexpensive item is to make small chalk boards for friends and family- you can mix your own color of chalk board paint by adding 2 tblsp of grout to 1 cup of paint (you can pick up a great sized smpler at Sherwin Wiliams for about $5).  Cut down thin boards to about 12x30, Drill 2 holes in the top, paint the boards, attach a rope loop to the top to hang.
