I remember a year ago September. The counselors, the teachers and the admin telling me my daughter is totally disorganized. When I asked how to get her organized they shook their heads and said you should know. So, I went out and bought stuff for her locker to help her get organized. Here is what else I bought.
I got her a metal dry erasable board that sticks to her locker door. I also got her binders and other things to help her stay organized. Plus photos with backings that stick to the metal. What have you done to help your child get organized for school? That might work for the child in his or her first year of middle school? To parents of 7th graders? I would love your input as well.
We were very lucky in 3rd grade that my sons had a teacher who emphasized organization and routine above all.
Keeping a homework agenda/journal is a good habit to get into. Check it every day and make sure they are using it.
A folder for notices and papers going and coming from school is also helpful so they don't get thrown at the bottom of the backpack and forgotten.
Thank you for the information. As you can see this board is extremely quiet. I tried to make a go of it but hey, what can you say. This is everyones board. So, if you know of anyone that also wants to join this is a free forum with no drama. Happy Spring.

I know it's hard to get people to come visit the group. Everyone is so busy.
