My kids are Ethiopian, so I know a bit of Amharic - the language in Ethiopia, which is derived from Ancient Hebrew/Arabic.

Really? My father went to Ethiopia once and brought back this cool T-Shirt with the entire Amharic script on it once when I was little. I always wanted to learn more but never had the chance. How proficient are they in Amharic?
