Have you ever experienced culture shock in another area that you're not familiar with? Share your stories.

I dont know if its a culture shock or not. But when I was 8 or 9 my family went to Israel/Jerusalem and other places. People would walk around in what was for me their PJs.

Wow, really? How long did you live in Jerusalem?

Where I come from in Detroit, people would actually walk around in their PJs and house shoes to the store and whatnot, but nowhere serious, lol.

I felt culture shock in China since there weren't a lot of non-Chinese, especially not many blacks. This was back in '02. Lots of people stared at foreigners. Also a lot of people in China are blunt and don't really care about what we consider political correctness. Also the crowdedness got to me a little.

I actually feel culture shock in some areas right here in the US even though I'm from here.
