Does anyone know anything about the Colombian culture?

I just started dating this Colombian guy and wanted to know how the culture differs from American culture in dating and relationships.  He's very warm and honest with how he feels and oh my gosh, is he positive!!!  About everything!  He's moving a bit too fast emotionally and physically than I'd like, so does anyone have experience with Colombian men?

Well as a Colombian I can tell you, they are nice, a little bit macho men but in a good way...open doors, call you 20 times per day, and if he invites you to meet his family, is serious!!!!!just remember to eat whatever is in the menu, especially if its Colombian food....good luck

I personally haven't dated someone from Colombia, but I used to live in an area with many Colombians. I think several Latin countries do have a heavy layer of machismo when it comes to how men perceive their masculinity, so maybe it does play a role in how he is displaying himself. Other than that, if he is moving too fast, that seems more personal than anything and it would probably be best to let him know that you're not comfortable with it.

Do you speak Spanish? Have you met any of his family? How long has your man lived in the US?
