I really LOVE SCUBA diving. However, I haven't gone diving in over 3 years (not since I was pregnant with my younger daughter). And before that, I didn't dive for over 2 years because we had our first baby.
Prior to having kids, we had gone diving quite a bit. In fact, my husband and I (we certified together) both made it just past the 100 dive milestone. Most of our diving has been in Florida and the Caribbean. And not diving lately just makes me want to talk about it more!
We can't wait for our kids to get a little older, so they can come with us on dive trips!
and be able to take underwater photos!

I am a SAHM of 2 boys, ages 4 and 6. It's been almost 8 years since I dove, and I miss it. I'm hoping to go diving sometime soon and maybe have my parents watch the kids.

Hello group..
My name is Dishonne and I am in the process of getting my PADI certification. Scuba Diving is always something that I've wanted to do, and this year I was determined to making it happen. I am originally from the San Franciso Bay Area, but live in the desert now - Las Vegas. I am anticipating frequent trips to California, and Mexico.
Any information you can share with this new diver would be apprceciated.
Thanks!!!
WELCOME to the SCUBA group! I'm so excited that you're getting your PADI certification! I find SCUBA to be such an amazing experience! I also remember being underwater in SCUBA gear for the first time and how terrified I was! But, I got over that quickly, especially when I got to see real fish and coral in my first open water dive--then I forgot about being scared and really started to enjoy the experience!
Hope your classes and certification go well and feel free to ask any questions here on the group that you might have!
I am PADI certified since 2003, so far I have dived, French Polynesia, Belize (where the whaleshark was I dove with) wreck diving in Key Largo, and Catalina Island, close to where I live.
I am getting ready to plan a trip soon within the $1,000-1,400 range, all inclusive. So I am looking for girls that may want to go, since my husband wants me to go with some people. (He doesn't dive).
Add me as your friend and let's keep in touch and brainstorm.
Either way, that is SO AWESOME!!!
We've never gone diving in Belize--it's definitely on my list, though! And we've also not dived in any Pacific waters, only Florida and the Caribbean--but there's some great diving!
Hey ya'll. My name is T.C. - I have been passionate about the underwater world since I was in the 6th grade, and became N.A.S.D.S. certified when I was 16. (10 yrs ago) I am currently going to school to transfer into a marine biology program. I hope to work with the rescue and rehabilitation of marine animals and do much research on the Great White. Being a mom is my greatest achievement, but my greatest ambitions before that were to cage dive Australia with the great whites and to snorkel with whale sharks (which I should be doing on my honeymoon in June!)
