I hadn't heard of it before listening to a PregTASTIC podcast, but it sounds fantastic. If you are doing hypnobirthing, when did you start or are starting. How much is the class or are you doing the home course?

I'll be taking my midwifes birth class also (included in my prenatal care), but this sounds so wonderful!

  • I just finished the book.  I liked it a lot.

I signed up for classes the end of October through November.  It was the only Saturday schedule before my due date.  The course costs $300 which comes with the book (which I already have) and a practice CD.   It seems expensive to me, but I have a few friends that swear by it.  My midwife also expressed how well her hypnobirthing clients do.

  • Well I have gathered some of the hypnobirthing philosophies from Ina May's book, so it just seems logical for me. However I was thinking about taking the Hypnobabies home study course (which has a book and a ton of Cd's and other materials. It is about $145.

  • I bought the book and that was pretty cheap.  Listened to the cd that came with it.  I didn't take any of the birth classes because none such are offered near me.  But anyways I just took everything to heart.  Don't fight but just relax.  Let go...  Everything worked out just fine last time.  LOL  Anyways I donated my book to the library so that other women might get a benefit from reading it too.

  • I hear you!  I put them on an ipod and have it next to my bed and listen to the affirmations as i fall asleep.. I am only on week 2 because i don't get to listen to them every day.. today i managed to squeeze it in during Tristan's nap, by the time i'm done he's waking up... and i really want to nap too!
