My Story (Kinda Long - Sorry)

Hello.  My name is Liz, and I am a 40-something wife, mother and grandmother.  I live in South Central Pennsylvania with my dear hubby, my two beautiful daughters, my wonderful granddaughter and soon-to-be-arriving grandson.

I honestly wish that I could say I had some loftier purpose for starting my candle business.  The truth is, however, it pretty much started as a whim.  Seven years ago, a close friend and myself decided we wanted to make some extra income.  Knowing how popular scented candles were, we decided to check out eBay for candle lots.  We started out purchasing mass-manufactured candles to sell to friends and family, as well as at flea markets, yard sales, home shows, etc.  After a short while, we began to feel dissatisfied with the whole "mass-manufactured" aspect of the products that we were putting out there.  So, the search began for hand-poured product.  Long story short, I found myself a candle maker that sold her wax tart melts on eBay for resale, as well as a company where I could purchase wholesale tart warmers.  I took my goodies into work one day, and sold out of everything that first payday!!

It didn't take long for me to want to start making the candles myself instead of purchasing them from someone else.  So, I bought a kit and started to make my own wax tart melts.  I was astounded and overjoyed to find that not only did I absolutely LOVE what I was doing, but that my wax tart melts were an even BIGGER hit than the ones I was buying and reselling; so much so that I quickly ended up setting up shop at an empty desk next to me at my full time job.  Company paydays came twice for me as people were lining up at lunchtime to buy my products.  Unfortunately, in January of 2004, I lost my job (not because of selling the candles; my bosses were even buying them from me! LOL).  Though, while it was very upsetting, I took it as a sign to go full steam ahead with my candle business.  I set up a website, expanded my product line and jumped into full-time business ownership with both feet.  The rest, shall we say, is history.

Right now, I'm searching for people interested in helping me sell my products in exchange for up to 40% profit/commission.  I am seeking resellers, not recruiters right now.  However, depending on how things progress, that may change.  I love to make them, but I just don't have the time or resources to embark on a sales campaign.  That's where distributors come in and finding distributors is exactly why I'm here.

Sound interesting?  What more info?  Just click on the link in my signature or email me.

Thanks for reading!
