How to Play

Critter Canyon is a spectacular wilderness that all kinds of animals call home. However, they also commute to the city to work, shop, and just hang out. As Carpool Coordinator, it's your job to gather together all of the animals who will be sharing a ride.

Here are the basics on how to play:

1. Get started by adding the widget to your page, if you haven't already done so.
   
2. You'll be given an assignment of animals to find. Click on the Quick Checklist button in the widget to see who you're looking for.
3. To start finding animals, click the Start Looking button on your homepage and off you go to visit other players' pages!
4. Once you land on another player's page, find her Critter Carpool widget and see which animals you can find there.  You may collect one by clicking the Claim button.  Choose wisely - you may only collect one animal per player per 24 hours, so make it count!
5. When you have successfully claimed an animal, a message will appear letting you know how many points you have earned.
6. Then, move on to find your next animal by clicking the Keep Looking button.
7. When you have claimed all the animals in your checklist, you'll get bonus points and be given a new assignment.

Bonus Round

Every once in a while, you'll be sent back to your homepage, where Jake the Jackal will give you a chance to spin his slot machine for free points or even an animal you're looking for!

Rules & Reminders

• You'll see the same assignment more than once. However, as you reach new levels, new assignments are unlocked!
  
• Take turns.  You can claim only 1 animal per day from each player you visit.  If you already claimed an animal from a player today, you will have to wait 24 hours before you can claim another animal from the same player.  Try visiting someone new!
• First come, first served.  If more than one player tries to claim the same animal, the first player to click "Claim" will get it.  Another animal will replace it, so be sure to check and see if it's something you're looking for!  
• One assignment at a time.  You need to collect all animals in your checklist before you can start a new one.  Click on the Checklist links to see what you still need.  Missing items are shaded gray.
• Earn points to move up.  Levels are based on the total number of points you have. The number of points you need to get to the next level is listed at the top of your My Activity page as well as at the top of your widget.
• Once a player, always a player.  If you accidentally deleted your widget, no problem, just add it back and it should pick up where you left off.

Other Pointers

• Want to see what animals you've already found and which you still need?  Click the Quick Checklist button.  Animals you still need are shaded gray.
  
• You can see a complete summary of your points, your levels and your game history by clicking on the See My Activity button on your homepage.
• You will be awarded bonus points each time you complete an assignment.  There may be other bonuses in store for you, but you'll just have to discover them for yourself.  We're not giving anything away!
