Poll: What do you think will make this group more active?

When I created this group I had high hopes of a very active close knit group of women who could become good friends.  So far I am haveing alot of trouble getting our members to participate.

 

So tell me....What do you think will make this a active and fun group???

I think maybe you need to start posting several different topics every day.  People will start posting back responses and eventually we will all become more comfortable.  It's also a great way to get to know eachother.  I come everyday and check to see if new posts have been made.  If I don't see any, I probably wont post.  Especially if none of the posts really pertain to me and what I can contribute to a conversation.  But I really think, at least in the beginning, you should post several different topics that you think might be of interest to some of us.  Then, when we start to get to know eachother a bit, I think you will find more and more people starting their own posts. 

I look forward to a more active group.  I love being a mom and I love Alaska....all parts of Alaska.  One day I would love to do nothing but travel all over Alaska and see how others live.  Bethel, Nome, Barrow, the Aleutians, Kodiak, Kenai.....and all over the Interior.  I don't want to go to Disneyland or the Carribbean.....I want to be a tourist in my own state!LOL!

I do agree with you that there needs to be more subjects but my little brain is having a hard time thinking of alot of them lol.  But I know that would help.  I do want to remind everyone that all members are able to post topics of discussion as well, so if there is something that interests you let us know :o).  And I will work harder to get more topics up too.

I also agree with traveling our state!  What a beautiful place!  The parts that I have seen have taken my breath away.  Moving here from Florida where there isn't much too see it continues to be a shock to me.

I like that you just sent a meetup out and sent via every way you can - that was great! Personally, my iphone won't let me write responses but I do check everyday - when I actually get a night to write responses, I respond to everything.

Another problem with the system is that if you are part of a huge group, you will always see the most recent posts there b/c they have so many they push ours aside right away.

LOL yeah I did kinda send out that invite everyway possible.  I wanted to make sure everyone could see it.  But I think its a good idea to get thw word out.  I don't like how the post get pushed either but there is no way to stop it unless I lock all the posts.  What would be the point in that.  Maybe one day they will change the way the system works.
