I use the quotes because I do not have the typical symptoms, I get prego super easy, and I can never get any in depth testing. Typically my thyroid is only off a few weeks-months after pregnancy lasting about a year, then it returns to normal along with my moods (that seems to be the most effected along with energy level and memory). It's been a few years since I had a full panel so forgive me if the terminology isn't right (hope you get it though), but my thyroid levels were raised and I showed positive for the antibodies that indicate hashimoto's. Had an u/s at the beginning of the pregnancy and my thyroid was normal for having a level of 6.4 (or around there -- so much for my memory improving lol). Now I do feel much better being on .25mg (mcg? I don't want to get up), of levothyroxine, Now my question is, are there any supplements that I should avoid due to the thyroid or the meds? I keep having a recurring cycle of BV and yeast infections and someone told me that people with off thyroid levels tend to have more candida yeast in their body and when that was treated the thyroid levels leveled off. Now of course this doesn't fit every one, but a candida yeast cleaning treatment involves grapefruit seed extract and I thought I remembered reading once that that is a no-no with thyroid issues. But I have tried everything to clear up this issue and I just keep going round and round... I need a solution!!
