Adrenal Exhaustion Maybe Thyroid?

Hi everyone! I am so excited there is a group to discuss this!

I had a stressful life and I think my adrenals may be ruined because of it. Abusive home, anorexia in middle school, massive hemorrhage during birth and also a very high heart rate during labor (They gave me an EKG after and it seemed fine)... ect

I went to my family doc and they tested the thyroid levels TSH and T4 and the came back "normal". I have been reading about how the tests can lie.

Anyways... I have an appointment with an Endo on Monday the 5th and I am going to discuss these problems with him too. But I would like to hear other's opinions also!

Here are my symptoms I have had them most of my life (as soon as I "checked out" from stress at home PTSD) They have just increased recently

Mood changes/personality changes
dizzy, lightheaded
Tired and takes a lot to get going
hard to fall asleep
Overweight my entire life I have literally cut out all processed foods, sugar, gluten and I make EVERYTHING homemade I can't tell you the extensive diets I have been so strict about and haven't lost a pound I have kept with them for 6 months plus at least. An example is under 20 carbs a day for 6 months, if I ate more than 20, I'd gain
Cold feet
Frequent UTI's
Excessive sweating
JOINT PAIN!
severe inattentiveness
Obsessive personality

The most annoying syptoms are the inattentiveness, personality changes, weight gain, and joint pain.

I feel like people normally feel better than I do! I want to lose weight and feel good again! Thanks for any adivce :)

Thanks for joining the group. Glad you found us. I'm Lily.

I am unsure about  the symptoms as they ( hypo and hyper ) some times seem the same with them. I am hypo.

Possibly your thyroid could be off, or perhaps a vitamin deficiency?

Once you get blood work done, you should know the cause and then discuss it with your Doctor.

Hope all goes well with the appt. next week. Keep us posted!!

I will look for your update next week.

Make a list like this one you posted and ask your Doc about it.

I just gave my blood today for my thyroid and other blood work ( re-test for diabetes as I was told I was pre-diabetic and then I was OK but that's changed! )

I will get my results in 2 weeks I suppose. Hope you get yours sooner.

Have you had any blood tests recently?
