My name is Lauren and I have PCOS and Hypo-thyroidism....talk about DOUBLE whammie!! I was on Levothyroixin but decided one day to stop taking it...long story. I have been off my meds for about 6 weeks now and just had my blood tested last week. It turns out my thyroid is still low, but not as low as I thought it could have been. So my Dr actually said it would be ok to use a supplement instead of a synthetic hormone. I just ordered Thyroid Helper. Has anyone else tried it??

I found it at http://www.wellnessresources.com/products/thyroid_helper.php
I did some research online and found this was the number 3 supplement out there for the thyroid. It was an "independent" study and Thyroid Helper was the least expensive out of the top supplements so I thought I would give it a try.
I was diagnosed in May of 2004 and I have been taking Levothyroixin ever sense...it was harder for me to lose weight when I was on it...frustrating! I'm hoping this new supplement will help turn things around :o)

I just saw these posts on Thyroid helper and wanted to point out that this product from wellness resources does not contain kelp. You can buy iosol iodine separately; they actually discourage the use of iodine from kelp since it can clog the thyroid gland and cause negative side effects. I have been taking thyroid helper for about 3 months now and have been feeling really good - increased energy, no more cold hands and some weight loss. I got the full package they offer for 25% off, not just the thyroid helper.
