A few questions

1) how old was your child when they were taken off the bottle

2) how old was your child when you stopped feeding them babyfood?

The reason for asking is my son loves his bottle and wont eat his baby food. He always wants to eat "big people" food.

Well I don't know about those questions because my son is only 6 months old and well he is eating baby food and similac (I wasn't able to breastfeed). SO I don't know I think maybe when he's older I might know but at this time I don't know when he'll be off that stuff

I'm a 23 year old mother of a energetic, always getting into everything son who is 6 months old. I co sleep with my son and that's including my DF. I bottle feed my son. I work full time but he still gets my attention. I do not cook. I do clean and do laundry. Burnt skillets = Luv. I'm a group owner www.cafemom.com/group/theunder40club. I dream one day of having a family of six or seven! I do not tell you how to live your life so don't tell me how to live mine

As my son nursed til he was 30 months old, it was mostly for comfort, I think.  Bottle was effectively gone at 18 months or so...and he stopped baby food at about 6-9 months.

My daughter is 6 and she was taken off at 9 months and my baby is 1 and she was taken off at 6 months! My oldest only ate baby food till 1! And my younger daughter eats it sometimes not often!

It is recommened that a child be weaned off of a bottle at 12 months but my son kept his longer than that. He is now 20 months and still wants it but we don't give in. He started eating table food early because his grandma and aunts loved to feed him bits of their's. Nothing major just mostly veggies and such that they had mashed up for him. If your son has teeth I say let him eat what he can.
