can someone explain it to me? ive looked all over these discusion boards and i dont understand the aquarium and what we are supposed to do with it. thanks in advance.
You can buy fish (with diamonds, so choose carefully) and harvest them when they get the baby fish bubble over their heads. The crucian will help you earn the fish and chips craft. You need both the perch and the pike to earn the fish soup craft. There is also an award for collecting fish but it takes FOREVER! As you earn more money you can buy plants like the Cervicornis (for cash) which will make the fish reproduce faster, when you get enough they will reproduce in just a few minutes..
You can also buy shellfish for the Pearl Factory.
You can buy a seahorse to give you 7 emeralds a couple of times daily.
You can buy a goldfish to give you gifts: coins, an igloo, aquarium plants, a shell--but it is pretty stingy.
You can also buy a crab with emeralds who is just cute--he will not count towards any craft or achievement or factory, just give you 310 coins when harvested.

Some more instructions I've posted elsewhere.
If you buy a fish, it will spawn after x number of hours (hover your pointer over the fish to see how long or check in the market). When it spawns, you'll see a little fish egg above its head. Click on this, and a child appears (same size as parent).
After a few minutes, the child will have a bobber show up above its head. If you click on this, the fish will disappear, giving you coins. If you have a fish factory, click on the fish using the cog wheel to send it there instead.
Child fish don't grow up to be parents. You can only collect them or just let them hang out in your tank awhile.

Ann, thanks for all the great info. I do have one thing to add to this though... if you're working on that fishing award, you may not want to send your fish to canned fish factory. Each time I've sent fish to the canned fish factory over the past month, those fish haven't counted towards the award. It seems to be a somewhat new glitch.
