I'm sooo confused about when you ovulate after an early miscarriage.....

I miscarried on Jan 9,  at 5 1 /2 weeks, and only bled for around 4 days.  On that 4th day, my hcg was already down to 15 from 231 4 days prior.  This is all new to me, and I've read a lot of stories of women getting pregnant right after a miscarriage with no period in between.  Does anyone know when you ovulate after mc?  Do you count the first day you started bleeding as day 1 of your cycle?  Just so confused with it all.  I felt fine and we started having sex again after a week, so kind of hoping to conceive, but not trying to be too optimistic.  I would love any stories you all have about this.  Thanks

I have no clue when you ovulate after a MC I always just waited until my first period to try. Good Luck though :) Lots of Baby Dust to you!!!!!!

After my first miscarriage...I had a d&c done on Feb 9th and bled for a week or so.  Then didn't protect ourselves and ended up pregnant in March.  I never had a period in between there and my baby was due Dec 7th...so assuming that there was  weeks I must have ovulated around the end of Feb in order to get pregnant.  Can't tell you a date but the doctor said you are really fertile after a miscarriage.  Good luck to you.

I don't have the answer for you and I'm sorry. But I did want you to know that I'm in the same boat as you. I had a paraguard IUD in for 15mos then had it out Jan 7th 2011. We had been trying every since. With no luck. Then I miscarried on Jan 17th and was 7 1/2 weeks. My last period was Nov 28th and I counted my cycles were 37 days appart. I bled from 6am the 17th til the 23rd. I haven't had a period since. We started TTC again on the 26th. I read that without a DNC you should start your period 6wks after the 1st day of the loss. With a DNC, 4 weeks. But that was just their average. It also said if I don't have a period by the 14th (without DNC) to test on the morning of the 15th.

I want to know too, we just had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, and I am still trying to wrap my head around it:/.
I guess I will just keep temping every morning and see what happens, if I dip and then rise I will figure I ovulated and am in phase 3.
