Here's my story.

DH and I got married Sept. 18, 2004.  We have been trying to have a baby ever since.  After trying for a year, my physician said to head to an OB/GYN that focuses on trying to figure out if there's a fertility issue.   We found out that I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and DH has low sperm count.  We were told that the only option that we would have would be IVF.  I was put on Metformin for my PCOS and they told us there was nothing that we could do for DH.  We didn't have the money to do IVF, so we just kept trying to conceive naturally.  Finally last year around Christmas, DH and I agreed to get a loan to cover the IVF.
In January we had a consult with the fertility specialist.  They did some more tests on me and suggested that DH see a urologist in the same practice.  The tests that were done on me came back the same as before.  He was pleased with how the Metformin was working for me.  About a month later, DH saw the urologist.  He confirmed the low sperm count.  He gave DH a medication to take and told us to come back in 3 months since that's how long it takes for the medication to kick in.
We went back to the urologist in May 2008 and he was really pleased with the results.  DH's numbers went from 2 million to 10 million.  He told us to go home and try to get pregnant naturally.  Little did we know that we were already pregnant.
We found out June 8 that we were pregnant with our first child.  We were extremely happy since we were originally told that the only way we would have children is by IVF.
On July 20, our world fell apart.  I was at my parent's house and my mom, sister and I had just gotten home from shopping for maternity clothes for me.  I went to the bathroom and wiped and there was blood.  I started crying right then and there, and I think that I already knew what was going on.  We went to the ER where they did lots of tests.  Before I left, I was told that my baby measured 9 weeks (we were at week 11) and that they blood work wasn't where it should be.  We were also told that they didn't find any heart movement.  They put me on bedrest until I could follow up with my OB/GYN.  I got in the next day thinking that they would do another ultrasound to see if mabye the ER tech had a bad angle.  Boy, was I wrong.  The doctor walked in the room and immediately gave us his condolences.  We agreed with the doctor that we would schedule a D&C to take care of the miscarriage.  So, on July 22, I was having surgery to remove my baby.
I got my first AF since the miscarriage on August 22 exactly 1 month to the date of my surgery.  We had our follow up with our doctor on August 25.  He gave us the green light to go ahead and start trying to have a baby again as soon as we are mentally ready.  We have decided that we are going to start trying again right away.  We are in our fertile week this week, so I'm using an OPK to try to predict it this month.  Normally we use the ovulation watch, but you have to start that on Day 1 or 2, so we couldn't use it this month.

So, that's my story.  I apologize for the length or if there was TMI at points.  I look forward to meeting everyone and hoping to share BFP's with lots of you soon!
