My son is 1 month old almost 2months.  Since the day he was born he was very fussy.  while in the hosptial we found out he was allergic to anything milk based so he was put on a soy formula. That seemed to work for maybe 2wks but then my son stopped having bowel movements and got even more fussy then he was. We now have him on alimentum formula, and hes moving his bowels again but hes still extremely fussy. It doesnt seem like hes getting any better. I have tried, gas drops, gripe water, walking with him, rocking him, exercising his legs, changed bottles, burping him more and nothing seems to sooth him. Im at a lose as what to do for him. He only sleeps during the day for about 15minutes off and on all day. about 7pm to 10pm its just 3hrs of him crying and screaming until he falls asleep for 4hrs. but that 4hrs is really all he gets and i get. any advice or suggestions would be more then appriciated cause like i said i just dont know what i need to do next or try. and i just want to make my little man better.

Look in the thread for soothing techniques. There are a lot of ideas there. Sometimes you can find something that helps. Sometimes something will work a few times and then you have to try something else. I would try swaddling and walking around cradling him, kind of bouncing him. That was the thing that most consistently worked with my son. I made a sling to wear him because by the end of the day my arms were completely shot. The sound of running water or the vacuum cleaner worked sometimes too. My son also does that whole only sleeping for 15 min at a time during the day thing, and screaming the rest of the day ;) It does get better. But still he does that about half the time. And the days that he's the worst are the days that I really need to get something done - I swear they have a sixth sense about those things...

Colic peaks at about 6 weeks - so it looks like that's about where you are. Hopefully in a month or so he will start having improvements. Most babies outgrow colic between 3 and 4 months. My first son was colicy until about 8 mos! But luckily my 5 month old seems to be outgrowing it - we still have at least 2 bad nights a week, but he has been gradually getting better.
