If the therapist treats your child like that then tell them to get lost an report them. I have had two children in speech therapy and it is, and should be, like the therapist is playing with them and encouraging them. My son LOVED his speech therapist and looked forward to his visits.

My son is in speech therapy and he loves it. He started in Dec when he turned 2. At 14 mo he was talking in mini sentences and then at about 17 or so months he went back to babbling and only a couple of words. Since he started therapy he now has about 100 or so words and can identify all his body parts now. He is now learning how to combine words together and make simple decisions like blue or green crayon. It is a really good program. Speech evaluation is mostly for the parents and to listen to what words your lil one does know.
