Hello~

I am new to the group and have no idea where to go. We know my son has a learning disability but what it is we don't know. He is 7. I was worried at 3 when he didn't talk but his ped. didn't start to worry until he couldn't pass his hearing test for school. He didn't start talking until he was 4. He didn't potty train till 5.5. We had an IEP for him until Nov. when he tested right where he needed to be or higher. However no matter how smart one is or well one test a mother knows when their child struggles. We have done loads of testing and everything comes back normal, but all the dr say that there is something there that the test can't show.

so here I sit after being told but the schools that it is basically in my head. and that my son in lazy and just doesn't want to do his work. He loves learning, he hates how long it takes him to understand or pull the learned information from where ever it is in his brain.

I feel lost as a parent, I have no idea where to find information on where to get the help he needs. His new ped. (of 2 years) is great and helping us but she is also stuck at where to go next. But she asures me it is not in my head and that there is something impeding my son's learning
