I use cloth when we are home, i made them and would be happy to share the instructions, but for daycare I have to buy diapers. Is there any brand that is better than others as far as health, chemicals etc.?

I use Huggies currently because I cannot stand the chemical smell of Luvs and Pampers smells too.

I searched and could find no licensed daycare that would allow cloth.

I heard about these new diapers called g diapers...I think they are kinda pricey, but oh so cute...wonder if the Daycare would allow this?
here is a link to the site...I think they are awesome!

Here's the instructions.  There are pics of the ones I made in my photos.  They are great.  Make sure you sew around the entire soaker though, not just down't he middle like it says or it'll bunch up.  I use Bummis Whisper Wraps with mine.

Another great thing about them is that you can use old t-shirts, old fannel sheets, etc. to make them, you don't HAVE TO buy fabric.

Alright, as far as diapers go (disposable ones) I have had to use my share. I have tried the cheap ones (they leak) I donot like Pampers for the smell and really are not as great as they claim, Luvs leaks, do not care whatthe commercial says, I have had nothing but bad luck every time I have tried them. I recently bought some more natural ones at the co-op, they were very pricey and workd as good as Luvs, so i guess what i am saying is that I am a Huggies mama, when it comes to disposable. Have had the best luck at least.

On and off the topic? What baby wipes do you use? I think I will make a post about this, there is some stuff I wanted to share on it too.

I've been using Huggies I think, but I am going to just start making them from paper towel and baby shampoo, there is a recipe somewhere.  If he has a rash or anything, I just use pieces of flannel or old washclothes.

i only use seventh generation. they are chlorine free and probably the best diaper out there for people that live naturally and organic...other than cloth of course.

they arent easy to find in stores though.  sometimes you can get them in a health food store or wegmans or whole foods.  i buy them online at 1800diapers.com  they arent any more expensive than the other brands that you all listed either.

seventh generation diapers are unbleached and chemical free. we do cloth too.. but i am not crafty enough to make them! people dont realize that cloth is just as easy as disposables are! no pins etc...
