Hello. I started this group because I haven't found anything for moms in RI other than school sites. I'm a SAHM to a two year old little girl named Olivia, and am (not so patiently) awaiting the birth of my second child, a son, in just a few weeks.
Being from RI, I am constantly trying to come up with new ways to keep my daughter entertained. We don't have outrageous theme parks, we don't have wild attractions, and the choices can be somewhat limited. This is a place where we can come and share our ideas, our activities, and the things that our kids like best.
Also, being a SAHM and just about ready to pop, my opportunitues to get out and meet new people for us to interact with are few and far between. I would love to start a playgroup for my daughter to be a part of, because I feel interaction with children around her age is important. As mom, I can only be so fun...lol.
So, jump on in, and tell me about yourself!
Hi I am also a SAHM in RI. I just moved here and don't really know anyone my daughter is 10 months and I wish I knew some people with children to get together with so she could have interaction with other kids. If you start a play group please let me know! or if I find something I will let you know!! thanks!
I am absolutely agree with you, i came here 1,3 year ago, and to be honest i felt a little bit boring, even though i was pregnant.Now with a child ( 9 month), and expecting ( 17 weeks) i want to find some places here in RI ( in a small state-)))
We have a park not far away, it is a nice place, but now when it is cold- not so many kids you can meet out there. So i would happy to hear and to find some solution -)
ijust joined this group. my name is kathy i am 27 years old with a 1 1/2 year old lil girl. i do work outside my home so on my days off i like to do some thing special with my dd besides catching up on the house work.
